Compagnie des Alpes

Overview

Compagnie des Alpes (CDA) is one of the industry’s leading European attraction operators with an attraction portfolio that includes theme parks, amusement parks, edutainment sites, animal parks, and its Grévin brand of wax museums.

CDA started in ski resort operations, which remain a core part of its business. It currently owns and operates 11 ski resort properties throughout France.

Within its portfolio, CDA owns and operates eight theme and amusement parks in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Austria.

The company’s licensing of intellectual property in its parks is limited. Currently, its biggest licensed IPs are Ubisoft’s Raving Rabbids, used in the Futuroscope park within a 5D attraction, and the French comic book world of Asterix in Parc Asterix.

While CDA’s main business activities are concentrated in Europe, it remains interested in expanding to other international markets. CDA has support and consulting contracts with various amusement parks and ski resorts in France, Morocco, Turkey, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, China and Japan.
